Can't Afford that Marketing eBook? No Problem!

57435080_thumbnail If you’re trying to get a handle on how your business or organization can use social media and digital marketing, you’re probably also doing endless Google searches to figure out the right information you need to know. While there are great resources online in the form of .pdfs, blog posts and even online training resources, some people learn best by reading through detailed material and making their own notes as they go. If you’re one of those people, you’ve probably seen a variety of marketing and social media books that could help give you valuable information. If you’re a small business, startup, creative or non-profit organization, buying tons of marketing books probably isn’t in your budget. The good news? Our public libraries are here and they don’t just deal in traditional book formats anymore. All of the public libraries in Atlantic Canada offer access to eBooks and Audio book formats that you can borrow for free using your library card. Just like a normal eBook or Audio book, they can be accessed on your computer, smartphone and even transferred to most eReader devices. It also works the same as you would normally borrow a book from a library. Most have limits on the titles you can borrow and the time you can borrow for. Like in New Brunswick you can borrow up to 5 eBooks at once with the lending time being 21 days. If the eBook is already checked out, you can put a hold on the eBook just like you would a normal book and you’ll be next in line once it’s returned. Of course if you prefer holding a physical book in your hands (don’t knock it, there’s nothing like the smell of a good book) you can always head on over to your local library and borrow the titles from there, but don’t discount using the digital media section of our libraries. They give a free, accessible way to access great information. New Brunswick Public Library  Nova Scotia Public Library Prince Edward Island Public Library Newfoundland and Labrador Public Library
